On March 10, 2010 (3/10), and again on April 2, 2011, Jimmie Ray & Cyndi and their band had the honor of being part of the "Save the Prison project at the Yuma Terrirorial Prison - it is called, "310 to Yuma." Then, in 2010, on the following day they had the honor of doing another fundraising concert in front of the New Country Jail with Sheriff Ogden. Tickets to BOTH events were sold out and this phase of the "Save the Prison" goal of $50,000 2010 was surpassed AND again in 2011.
Jimmie's new songs, "The Ghosts of Yuma Prison" and "The Ballad of Pearl Hart", premiered at the above events to rave reviews. Both written for the Save the Prison and other songs by Jimmie Ray.
